China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG) is a subordinate enterprise of China Construction Technology Consulting Co. Ltd., a large-scale scientific and technologic-based enterprise directly administrated by SASAC. Established in 1952 as the Central Design Company of China, CADG has always adhered to its excellent tradition with “building a better world” as its duty. As an intelligence-based enterprise, CADG has been taking the cultivation of talents as the top priority for its sustainable development. It is now one of the architectural design enterprises with highest degree of specialization of talents in China, with a professional team of architects, structural engineers, urban planners, cost engineers, consultants, equipment engineers, electrical engineers, etc.

Now, CADG has over 3,000 staff, including 3 Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 National Design Masters, 5 National Talents, 4 National Young Experts with Remarkable Contributions and 62 experts who enjoy the government subsidy approved by the State Council. It boasts around 400 national registered professionals, nearly 650 senior designers and researchers, and nearly 150 engineers with experience abroad. Professionals account for 90% of the whole staff of CADG.

ORGANIZATION

Working in-depth in segmented areas of design & consultation and across the whole industrial chain, CADG, with 40 directly-administered departments and 15 subordinate companies across China, has established companies of specialized business via equity investment to promote the transformation and implementation of its technologies. Now CADG has 4 wholly-owned enterprises, 1 holding enterprise and 7 shareholding enterprises.
EXPERTISE
As one of the major supporting organizations for national authorities in the industry, CADG has participated in a series of initiatives and programs, acting as one of the industry leaders, with its capability in several fields ranking among the top in China and abroad. As the initiator and main author of the Data Set of Architecture Design, which is the authoritative reference book of Chinese building industry, CADG has long been devoted to the compilation of building standards, covering various disciplines of the construction industry. CADG has been the main author of over 70 standards and co-author of over 100 standards, ranging from national standards, industry standards, association standards and product standards.
RESEARCH
Devoting itself to the development of the building industry and cultivating a research team of strong technological capabilities, CADG has established a series of national-level research organizations, including research centers, research bases and laboratories, with over 4% of its annual revenue invested in research activities. CADG has overtaken over 1,000 research projects on various levels and completed a series of scientific programs, winning over 170 awards above provincial levels and boasting over 200 valid intellectual properties.
